Padma Shri Dr. G. Venkat Rao felicitated by Hyderabad Public School Society for distinguished contribution to medicine

HYDERABAD: The Hyderabad Public School Society proudly felicitated its distinguished alumnus, Dr. G. Venkat Rao, for his extraordinary contributions to the field of medicine and healthcare. The special felicitation ceremony celebrated not only his remarkable professional accomplishments but also his inspiring journey with HPS.

Dr. Rao was conferred the prestigious Padma Shri by the Government of India recently to honour his outstanding contribution to medicine and healthcare. The President of The Hyderabad Public School Society felicitated Dr. G. Venkat Rao during a special ceremony, celebrating his remarkable journey from the classrooms of HPS to becoming one of India’s most respected medical professionals.

Dr. G. Venkat Rao is the Director of AIG Hospitals and Asian Institute of Gastroenterology and serves as Chief of Surgical Gastroenterology, GI Oncology, Minimally Invasive Surgery, Robotic Surgery, and Transplantation Services. A proud alumnus of The Hyderabad Public School, Ramanthapur, from the batch of 1976, Dr. Rao has earned national and international recognition for his pioneering work in advanced gastrointestinal and oncological surgeries.
