YOL, HIMACHAL PRADESH:The 43rd day of the ongoing 78-day Yajna of the four Vedas at Ved Mandir, Yol, witnessed a spiritually enriching discourse by Swami Ram Swarup, who elaborated upon the deep philosophical meaning of Yajurveda Mantras 1/3 and 1/6 before devotees and seekers.

Explaining Yajurveda Mantra 1/3, Swami Ram Swarup said that Yajna is a sacred deed that purifies mankind in hundreds of ways, sustains the world and upholds the universe through divine power. He stated that the mantra clearly conveys that the Supreme Lord Himself, the Creator of the three worlds, sanctifies and blesses the Yajna.

While expounding Yajurveda Mantra 1/6, the Yogacharya raised the Vedic question: “O Man! Who commands you to perform Yajna and to exert with self-effort?” He explained that the mantra itself answers this by declaring that it is the Supreme God who commands human beings to acquire Vedic knowledge and follow the path of righteousness.

Swami Ram Swarup further said that when asked for what purpose God gives this command, the mantra replies that the Lord directs mankind towards truthful vows, noble conduct and Yajna, which is regarded as the highest and most auspicious deed.

Calling upon people to follow the eternal teachings of the Vedas, he said that obedience to the divine command alone enables human beings to attain happiness, peace and ultimately the state of moksha. “There is no other path to lasting happiness and liberation,” he asserted.

Highlighting the relevance of Vedic wisdom in the present age, Swami Ram Swarup stressed that except for the Vedas — the eternal voice of God — no other source can truly guide mankind towards truth, self-effort, righteous action and spiritual upliftment. He urged seekers to pursue Vedic education under learned scholars and perform noble deeds for attaining inner peace, happiness and liberation.
