ARNIA: A major meeting of Shiv Sena Hindustan members was held in Arnia Block under Jammu & Kashmir President Pandit Rajesh Kesri, where saving the younger generation from drugs was taken up as the main issue.
The meeting discussed the 100-day drug de-addiction campaign initiated by the government and the Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor. All village heads present from across the border belt were urged to actively join the campaign to end narcoterrorism and to safeguard the youth from Pakistan’s conspiracies, in coordination with the Army, Police, and local Mohalla committees and Sarpanches. They were also asked to extend full support to the authorities.
Addressing the gathering, Kesri said parents must also be sensitized not to shield their children or let family disputes harm their future. “Parents should closely monitor their children’s activities after school, because this youth is the future of the nation and Jammu & Kashmir,” he said.
He alleged that forces across the border, unable to fight India directly, are waging a proxy war that includes narcoterrorism. “J&K Police and the Army have exposed Pakistan’s designs. The police have taken major action in J&K against those who earned money through narcoterrorism — their illegal properties have been attached and demolished by the police and administration,” Kesri noted. He appealed to others involved in such activities to understand that misdeeds have consequences and urged everyone to join the national mainstream to secure a bright future for themselves and for Jammu & Kashmir.
Those present at the meeting included Arnia Pradhan Balwant Fauji, Sher Chak Pradhan Suresh Kumar, Up-Pramukh Balbir Kumar, Border Pradhan Sanjeev Sharma, Kalyana Pradhan Satpal, Moolchak Pradhan Pradeep Kumar, along with local villagers. Women leaders including Darshan Devi, Neeru Devi, and Geeta Devi also participated.
