RS PURA: Martyr Major Arvind Bazala Boys Higher Secondary School, RS Pura, organised a grand “Meritorious Students Felicitation Ceremony” to honour students who excelled in academics, sports and co-curricular activities, reflecting the institution’s continued commitment towards excellence in education and overall personality development.
MLA RS Pura–Jammu South, Dr. Narinder Singh Raina, attended the programme as the Chief Guest in the presence of members of the School Management and Development Committee (SMDC), parents, prominent citizens and well-wishers. The parents of Martyr Major Arvind Bazala also graced the occasion and appreciated the efforts being made by the institution in imparting quality education and promoting holistic development among students.
During the programme, Senior Lecturer Sh. Rahul Dev Raina, under the guidance of Principal Smt. Rachna Tomar, presented the annual report of the school and highlighted the major achievements registered during the academic session. He informed that students of the institution secured an impressive 66 distinctions in the recently declared Board examinations, bringing laurels to the school.
The report also highlighted the institution’s achievements in sports, cultural activities, infrastructural development and several innovative educational initiatives undertaken for the benefit of students. The efforts of the staff in maintaining high academic standards and encouraging extracurricular participation were widely appreciated.
On the occasion, Dr. Narinder Singh Raina and SMDC members felicitated the school toppers with mementos and certificates. Distinction holders, sports achievers and students who excelled in other activities were also honoured with appreciation certificates in recognition of their dedication and hard work.
Addressing the gathering, Dr. Raina congratulated the students, teachers and parents for the outstanding performance of the institution. He praised the sincere efforts of the teaching faculty and highlighted the rich legacy of the school, stating that it has produced several distinguished scholars, sportspersons, bureaucrats and political personalities who have contributed immensely to society and nation-building.
The programme concluded with a formal vote of thanks presented by Principal Smt. Rachna Tomar, who expressed gratitude to the Chief Guest, SMDC members, parents and staff members for their support and cooperation in making the event successful and memorable.
