JAMMU: The Centre for Distance and Online Education (CDOE), University of Jammu organized a Pre-Admission Counselling Session for the Bachelor of Arts (BA) Programme as part of the ongoing pre-admission counselling activities for Undergraduate and Postgraduate admissions for the academic session 2026–27. Around 200 prospective learners attended the session, which aimed to guide students about various academic opportunities, subject combinations, career prospects, and the flexible learning environment offered by CDOE.
Director, CDOE, Prof. Pankaj Srivastava welcomed the prospective learners and highlighted the NAAC accreditation and NIRF rankings of the University, emphasizing its commitment towards quality education and academic excellence. He also spoke about the nationally acclaimed degree programmes offered by CDOE and the extracurricular activities aimed at the holistic development of learners.
Prof. Srivastava further emphasized the flexibility and learner-centric approach of CDOE, the availability of certification courses in collaboration with NIELIT, regular academic support mechanisms, and annual job fairs organized to enhance students’ employability and career opportunities.
Prof. Anupama Vohra, PG English Coordinator, acquainted the audience with the Personal Contact Programme (PCP), study materials, and other learning support systems available at CDOE.
The Coordinators of the BA Programme, Dr. Jaspal Singh Warwal, Dr. Heena Abrol, and Dr. Anuradha Goswami apprised the students about the diverse courses and subject combinations available under the programme. Besides, Dr. Mamta Sharma, Dr. Jatinder Singh, Dr. Pooja Sharma, Dr. Deepti Abrol, and Dr. Avantika Bakshi also informed the learners about the different subjects being offered through CDOE. The prospective learners expressed keen interest in becoming part of CDOE, University of Jammu, for enhancing their academic and professional skills.
