DC Reasi felicitates meritorious girl students under BBBP

REASI: District Administration Reasi today organised a felicitation ceremony for meritorious girl students of government schools of the District. The event was held under the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao (BBBP) initiative here at PM SHRI Government Girls Higher Secondary School. Deputy Commissioner Kumar Abhishek, the chief guest felicitated the meritorious girl students for their outstanding academic achievements and encouraged them to continue striving for excellence in life.

Addressing the gathering, the Deputy Commissioner congratulated the students on their academic success and appreciated the efforts of teachers and parents in shaping their achievements. “Education is the most powerful tool for uplifting families and transforming society,” he maintained. Emphasising the importance of continuous learning, he encouraged students to aim higher and become role models for others. “Your good marks are only the beginning. This is a platform from which you have to move forward and achieve greater success in life,” he said.

Highlighting the significance of the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao campaign, the Deputy Commissioner said that the confidence and enthusiastic participation of the girl students reflected the positive impact of the initiative. He also urged students to focus on their holistic development by maintaining good health, participating in sports and engaging in co-curricular activities. He further assured the students and school administration that the District Administration would organise career counselling and guidance sessions whenever required.

A pledge was also administered under the Nasha Mukti Jammu Kashmir Abhiyan, reaffirming the commitment of all participants towards building a drug-free society. The programme was attended by the Principal, Government Girls Higher Secondary School Reasi, District Social Welfare Officer Reasi, Tehsildar Reasi, teachers and students.
