• DC reaffirms commitment towards Tribal Welfare, inclusive development

DODA: The week-long “Jan Bhagidaari Week” campaign concluded today at the Conference Hall of the DC Office Complex Doda in the presence of District Development Commissioner Krishan Lal, district officers and representatives from various departments. The campaign, observed from May 18 to May 25 under the theme “Sabse Door, Sabse Pehle,” aimed at strengthening public participation and ensuring effective outreach of Government welfare schemes to tribal communities and residents of remote and far-flung areas of the district.

At the concluding programme, the Deputy Commissioner reviewed the activities conducted during the week and appreciated the efforts of all departments for organizing awareness drives, outreach programmes, public interaction camps and service delivery initiatives in different parts of the district. He stated that the campaign played a significant role in bridging the gap between the administration and people living in remote areas while spreading awareness about various Government-sponsored schemes under PM JANMAN and DA-JGUA initiatives.

District Nodal Officer Jan Bhagidaari Abhiyaan Mohammad Hanief Kohli presented a detailed overview of the activities conducted during the week-long campaign across the district. “A series of awareness camps, public outreach programmes, beneficiary interaction sessions and service delivery initiatives were organized in tribal and remote villages to ensure that welfare schemes and Government services reach the deserving population at the grassroots level,” he said. He also revealed the future action plan for the welfare and socio-economic upliftment of tribal communities, which includes strengthening access to education, healthcare, livelihood opportunities, skill development, infrastructure facilities and awareness regarding the Government-sponsored schemes.   He directed all concerned departments to continue their outreach efforts and maintain close coordination to ensure effective implementation of schemes related to healthcare, education, social welfare, rural development, livelihood generation, and tribal upliftment. He informed that around 15 villages were covered under the Jan Bhagidaari initiative by organising public services and awareness programmes. 

Further, the officers shared feedback and experiences from the field regarding awareness activities conducted during the campaign. The District Administration reiterated its commitment towards strengthening grassroots governance and appealed to the public to remain connected with Government initiatives for maximum benefits and inclusive development.

The event was attended by ACD Doda Din Mohammad Afaqi, Superintending Engineer PWD, Executive Engineer PHE, officers from PHE and PWD departments, Chief Education Officer Doda Mohammad Hanief Kohli, District Nodal Officer Jan Bhagidaari Abhiyaan and other concerned officers and officials.
