RAMBAN: As part of the “Jan Bhagidaari – Sabse Door Sabse Pehle” campaign, the District Administration Ramban under the guidance of Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Alyas Khan, conducted Grievances Redressal Camps (Jan Sunwai) at BDO Office Khari and Village Dedha in Gool Sub Division, witnessing enthusiastic public participation from remote and tribal areas.
At Khari, a three-day Grievances Redressal Camp concluded successfully under the supervision of BDO Urfan Yousuf Khan. The camp focused on on-the-spot verification of cases and fast-track disposal of public grievances. A large number of residents attended the camp and projected issues related to Revenue, Rural Development, Social Welfare, Health, Public Works and other departments.
Different line departments participated in the Jan Sunwai and informed the people about government welfare schemes, particularly those for the Tribal community. Dedicated counters were established by several departments to provide on-the-spot services, resulting in immediate resolution of many public grievances.
Meanwhile, a similar outreach programme was organised at Village Dedha in Gool Sub Division, where officers from various departments interacted with local residents and extended on-the-spot assistance. During the camp, people raised issues concerning water supply, road connectivity, educational facilities and other developmental concerns. The officers patiently heard the grievances and registered them for prompt redressal.
Several issues at both venues were resolved through inter-departmental coordination, while timelines were fixed for cases requiring further action. The designated nodal officers reiterated the government’s commitment to ensuring that welfare schemes reach the most remote and marginalized sections of society in a time-bound manner.
The local ST community and residents appreciated the administration for bringing multiple departments under one roof, stating that the initiative saved them considerable time and travel expenses while ensuring easy access to government services and welfare schemes.
