UDHAMPUR: A Janbhagidhari Sabse Door Sabse Pehle IEC camp was organised today for the tribal population at Village Amwara in Block Khoon. Assistant Commissioner Panchayat Ashwani Hansa presided over the camp as the Nodal Officer. The programme was attended by BDO Khoon Shahbaz Choudhary, BMO Dr. Latief, besides officers and officials from various departments.
The officers from different departments educated the people about various government welfare schemes and benefits aimed at improving the socio-economic condition of tribal communities. The Rural Development Department laid special emphasis on source segregation of solid waste in accordance with the directions of the Supreme Court and encouraged people to adopt proper waste management practices for a cleaner environment.
The participants were also sensitized about the ongoing Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan campaign. A pledge against drug abuse was administered to all those present, reaffirming the collective commitment towards building a drug-free society.
