JAMMU: Senior BJP leader and MLA Bahu Assembly Constituency Ch. Vikram Randhawa listened to the grievances and issues of the public during a public grievance camp at the BJP headquarters, Trikuta Nagar, Jammu. BJP Swachhta Abhiyan Incharge Er. Dil Bahadur Singh Jamwal and Abhiyan Co-Incharge Er. TK Sharma were also present on the occasion.
Several deputations from different areas met Vikram Randhawa and apprised him of various civic and developmental issues affecting their localities. A deputation from Gangyal raised the issue of leakages in the rising main, causing inconvenience to the residents and affecting water supply in the area. Deputations from Sanjay Nagar, Sector-2 Channi, Meenia Mohalla Trikuta Nagar, and Deva Palace Preet Nagar complained about the acute scarcity of drinking water and demanded immediate intervention from the concerned department.
Similarly, deputations from Gandhi Nagar and Preet Nagar Dagiana highlighted the poor condition of lanes and drains and sought their early repair and maintenance. Residents from Trikuta Nagar, Sanjay Nagar, and Preet Nagar also requested repair and restoration of damaged street lights in their respective localities.
A deputation from Mahore urged the MLA to take up the matter regarding deployment of a warden at KGBV Sungri Chasana against the vacant post to ensure smooth functioning of the institution. Deputations from Channi, Trikuta Nagar, Last Morh Gandhi Nagar, and Nanak Nagar demanded early macadamization of roads, stating that the damaged roads were causing difficulties to commuters and residents alike.
Vikram Randhawa, speaking on the occasion, assured the visiting deputations that all genuine public issues would be taken up with the concerned departments on priority. He said that the BJP-led government remains committed to ensuring better civic amenities and development for every section of society. He stated that public outreach programmes help in bridging the gap between the administration and the people, while enabling timely redressal of public grievances.
Er. Dil Bahadur Singh Jamwal said that BJP workers remain actively engaged in addressing public concerns at the grassroots level. Er. TK Sharma stressed the need for coordinated efforts between departments to ensure prompt resolution of civic issues.
