The module was in close connection with Pakistan based terror handlers and was involved in drug trade & assisting financially to active terrorists of proscribed terror outfit LeT. The above recoveries also exposed the nexus between drug dealers and terrorists. The module was working for LeT outfit to strengthen their activities in the valley besides misguiding and motivating the local youth to join terror folds.
Case under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Handwara and investigation has been taken up through a special investigation team (SIT). The SIT so constituted shall unearth the nexus between accused and terror outfits, radicals, smugglers and other anti-national elements.
