NEW DELHI: A massive conference of farmers from all over the country was organized at Mavlankar Hall, New Delhi by Bharatiya Kisan Union (Ambawata) today. Several national leaders belonging to the several political parties participated. Addressing the farmers’ conference, the NPP Supremo, Prof.Bhim Singh called on the farmers as a class throughout the country to unite for the development and progress of the jawans and kisans. He said that both jawans (soldiers) and kisans (farmers) are the product of the working class which constitute more than 80% of the population of India.
Addressing this historic conference presided over by its Chairman, Shri Rishipal Ambawata, NPP Supremo expressed deep shock that the farmers (kisans) have not been given even 1/3rd of their share in the government jobs and state employment in different sectors in the country. Addressing a thrilling conference, the NPP Supremo told that he himself is the son of a farmer who was a soldier also. He said that he comes from a backward village, Bhugterian in Udhampur District of J&K and used to reach his primary school 5 kms. away from his home on foot. This was the situation the children of farmers had been facing in the villages. He said this is the present situation also. The wealthy class and businessmen have launched their private schools for their privileged children and they are the ones who have been occupying all the high-ups jobs in the public and private sectors.
NPP Supremo while addressing the massive kisan rally said that these are we the farmers who have been serving at the borders, sacrificing our lives for the defence of the country and these are the farmers children serving in the police and other developmental works as Class-IV employees. Prof.Bhim Singh also regretted that the kisans who constitute more than 80% of the population in the country have not got the opportunity to send even 25% farmers children to the Legislatures and Parliament. The Laws are enacted today to promote trade and rob the poor least caring for the equity and justice to the children of the farmers. The farmers are being divided in the name of the reservation which do not provide a reasonable opportunity for the growth of the farmers fraternity as a whole.
Prof.Bhim Singh appealed the leadership of the farmers to unite the farmers of the country from the East to the West and from South to the North—Kanyakumari to Kashmir so that the fundamental rights incorporated in the Indian Constitution shall also reach the shattered and broken shelters of the farmers who had made sacrifices during the freedom movement of the country and who have made highest sacrifices in defense of the country and they are the ones who have remained committed to secular-one India from Manipur to Dwarka and Kanyakumari to Kashmir.
The President of Bharatiya Kisan Union (A) Mr. Rishipal Ambawata while welcoming several political representatives hailed Prof.Bhim Singh who has been working hand in hand to strengthen and promote the movement launched by Bharatiya Kisan Union (A).
