LONDON, UK: Ankit Love, rapper and Emperor of the sovereign state of Jammu-Kashmir this month starts on the BA Performance Design and Practice (PDP) degree at Central Saint Martins (CSM) the worldâs number one ranked fashion design school. Globally famous CSM alumni include fashion icons Alexander McQueen, Stella McCartney, Christopher Kane, Matthew Williamson (chief of Pucci), Riccardo Tisci (chief of Givenchy) and Gibraltar-born John Galliano (chief of Dior). Ex James Bond actor Pierce Brosnan, Tom Hardy, Lucian Freud and Sri Lankan rapper MIA are also graduates of the prestigious institution.
Â
Love is the first man from war and terror-torn Jammu-Kashmir to attend CSM, and will join the likes of Hollywood movie star Antonio Banderas who enrolled at the institute in 2015, and Robin Cavalli, heir to the Roberto Cavalli fashion empire. Ankit Love and Robin Cavalli had previously attended ACS International School in Cobham, Surrey. Ankit Love was President of the ACS International School, where the sons of multi-billionaire Chelsea FC owner Roman Abramovich, ex-Harrods owner Mohamed Al-Fayed, Abu Dhabi Sheikh Issa Al Nahyan and British Petroleum CEO Bob Dudley had also been in attendance.Â
Â
On September 21, Ankit Love will enrol at CSMâs Kings Cross campus onto the three year PDP program, for which His Highness received a rare unconditional offer based on the merit of his artistic portfolio. PDP is one of the most challenging and advanced experimental art and design courses in the world. His Highness will then attend the welcome session on September 29 at CSMâs Louis Vuitton MoĂ«t Hennessy Lecture Theatre, with the Emperorâs first day of class being October 5.
Â
Recently American rapper Kanye West was refused admission to CSM, and quoted saying, âI wanted to go to Central Saint Martins but Louise Goldin said that I was too famous.â Mr. West had instead hired all CSM students to design his debut clothing collection for Paris Fashion Week. While at CSM, Ankit Love, who was youngest Mayor of London candidate in British history and whoâs music videos have been played on Israeli/US MTV wishes to continue his brave exploration of art and design to further evolve human culture. His Highness wishes to do so to bring peace to his war-torn nation and in memory of the his former neighbour Alexander McQueen. Scottish designer McQueen committed suicide seven years ago, while living across the road from Ankit Love on Green Street, Mayfair.Â
Â
Ankit Loveâs close friend Ukrainian fashion model Anna Duritskaya, widow of Boris Nemtsov the assassinated Russian opposition leader to Putin, sent the Emperor well wishes on the start of his new course and expressed an interest to join His Highness at CSM starting next year. CSM is a constituent college of the University of the Arts London. The sovereign state of Jammu-Kashmir is situated between Tibet and Afghanistan.
