Kashmir, has over time proved to be not less than a graveyard of human rights, where human rights are brutally killed every day, where streets are painted red with d red ink oozed out of innocent human bodies on daily basis, where the streets are turned into red carpets everyday for army men to walk over towards getting higher ranks and medals. The land over the years has witnessed the innocent brutal murder of thousands, where turning widow and orphan is an everyday affair, the land which is a home to thousands of half widows.
Kashmir is a disputed land which has its nature of disturbance and dispute for over 5 decades but the whole world seems to turn blind when it comes to this place. The ego clash of two giants has churned the so called paradise on earth into a land of uncertainties and where a spark can any day burn the whole house. What's more surprising is that where India is emerging into a strong nation but logic seems to be living light years away from the so called top brass and the educated, who have gone blind with their biased views and vision. The Implementation of the UN resolution looks like a mad man's dream.
Today a yet another episode of shame is witnessed by the Indian army by killing 2 innocent youth when the army/ police allegedly opened fire on protestors, protesting against the alleged molesting of a girl by an army personnel. Reportedly, a girl went into a public lavatory and the army man from the nearby bunker followed her into the lavatory, which some youth saw and opposed and that turned others to gather and protest against the same. When the army realised that the situation could get out of their control, they opened blind fire on the protestors that killed two youth.
It is worth noting that in Kashmir the idea of rubber bullets or water or simple lathicharge doesn't exist and moreover firing below the hip is un-imaginary, the simplest rule followed by the AFSPA powered forces is to fire and hit the target straight to cause the maximum damage, simply to kill. One is forced to think and believe that the forces with the special powers love to paint the streets red with human blood, and as if painting the streets red gives them some kind of a kick, pleasure and satisfaction to prove being the rulers of the place.
I wonder whether there could be a day when the so called largest democracy of the world turns realistic and with a living conscience to protest against the ill fate of the alien land and shun their egos and accept the reality. Millions of self acclaimed realists, nationalists and literate flood the social media with their views and opinions everyday on the minutest issues, but when it comes to human rights violations, the reality gets buried, patriotism wakes and all one would expect is silence, a pin drop silence. Bharat Mata Ki Jai?
