Letter to the Editor

Dear Sir,

     

Jammu Municipal Corporation has not undertaken any drive to remove encroachments made in shape of 10-15 feet long ramps landing and covering substantial part of main roads & sub-lanes in last 4 years in newly constructed colonies especially Trikutanagar.  Municipal Act  has become a piece of paper and is being completely ignored by the Enforcement wing of the Corporation resulting in rampant corruption.

With the connivance of Municipal Corporation private drains have been constructed in complete violation of drainage plan leading to dead ends and left unrepaired causing damage to neighbouring houses . Time to time representations made by the residents of sector 4,5& 6 of Trikutanagar to the authorities of JMC have been ignored.

There is a urgent need to remove the illegal encroachments of public land especially in sector  4-5-6 in trikutanagar and JMC should immediately take necessary action to remove illegal encroachments and provide relief to the law abiding citizen residing in Trikuta Nagar Colony Jammu.
