- 115 illegal structures removed
SRINAGAR: As per the orders of High Court of Jammu and Kashmir, Deputy Commissioner, Srinagar, Dr. Farooq Ahmed Lone deputed a team of officers comprising of Revenue, Irrigation & Flood Control, Srinagar Municipal Corporation and Police Department who carried demolition drive today on May 14, 2015 at Shalteng to Parimpora and demolished 115 residential structures, 30 boundary walls and hundreds of poplar trees. Deputy Commissioner directed all the concerned agencies to continue the demolition drive from the banks of River Jehlum.
