SRINAGAR: Srinagar Police arrested two bootleggers while selling illicit liquor in Batamaloo Bus Stand, Srinagar. Two bootleggers Bashir Ahmad Dar son of Habibullah Dar resident of Chattabal and Ghulam Mohammad Naqati son of Ghulam Nabi resident of Bemina were arrested by police while selling illicit liquor to some youth in Batamaloo Bus stand.  A case FIR no. 20/2015 under section 48 (f) Excise act was registered against the duo in Batamaloo police station. General public has hailed the police action.

 

 


SRINAGAR: Three persons were injured while a PoK based truck was damaged in two separate road accidents in Baramulla District last evening. A Truck of PoK bearing registration number 5697/GLT driven by Hameedullah resident of Chakotie Muzaffarabad skidded off the road near Trade Facilitation centre Salamabad, in the jurisdiction of police station Uri resulting in damage to the said truck.

 

Meanwhile, a  Tata Sumo bearing registration number  JK09-7183 meet with an accident near Zandferm crossing, in the jurisdiction of police station Sheeri, resulting in injuries to the three persons Zahida daughter of Mohammad Subhan Fafoo, Shogu wife of Abdul Majeed Fafoo residents of  Shaltang Sheeri and Aisha wife of Munawar Malik resident of Haril Handwara. All the injured have been shifted to the Hospital for treatment. Sheeri Police has registered a case in this regard.
