JAMMU: The Department of Disabilities Affairs, Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment has introduced a new scheme titled “National Overseas Scholarship for students with disabilities” aimed to provide financial assistance to the students with disabilities for pursuing higher education abroad. The scheme has been uploaded in website of the Ministry www.socialjusice.nic.in .
The scheme is for pursing Masters’ level courses and Ph.D abroad in the Engineering and Management, Pure Sciences and Applied Sciences, Agriculture Science and Medicine, Commerce, Accounting and Finance besides Humanities, Social Science and Fine Arts. 20 awards will be available per year out of which 6 are meant for women candidates under the scheme.
