SRINAGAR: The Directorate of Economics & Statistics, in collaboration with the office of Registrar General of India (ORGI) and Director Census Operations J&K (DCO), organized a training programme on Revamped Civil Registration System (CRS) Portal here today at Directorate of Economics & Statistics, Srinagar.
The master trainers, nominated by the District Registrars of different districts of Kashmir division, attended the training programme which was presided over by Director General, Economics & Statistics, J&K (Chief Registrar Births & Deaths, J&K), Satvir Kour Sudan. In her address, she highlighted the importance of Civil Registration System (CRS) portal in registration of vital events.
Earlier, Regional Director, Evaluation & Statistics, Kashmir, Athar Hussain Qadri, in his welcome address, highlighted the significance of CRS and its efficiency, transparency and accessibility.
Resource persons, Sandeep Rai (DD) ORGI, Harmeet Singh Maddh (DD) ORGI and Manmeet Singh (DD) DCO, J&K, demonstrated the revamped CRS portal. They highlighted the significance of its numerous additional features such as online reporting of events by general public in official language, online fee payment, facility of delayed registration including payment of fees, electronic delivery of certificates by email, checking of fake and duplicate reporting and monitoring the performance of registration functionaries. Additional District Registrars (DSEOs) of Kashmir division also participated in the programme.
