SRINAGAR: As part of our ongoing efforts to combat drug abuse and educate the youth about the ill effects of substance abuse and thereby preventing their usage, Police in Pulwama organized a series of Drug Abuse Awareness programs at different schools namely GHSS Lassipora, GHSS Hawal, GHSS Newa, Dolphin International School Pulwama, GHSS Nehama.
On these occasions, concerned chairing officers in their informative lectures highlighted the socio-economic factors contributing to drug addiction and preventive measures thereof and also explained the ways to know the warning signs and symptoms of a drug addict. Further, they said that to eradicate the menace of drugs from society, public cooperation is necessary and the Police is always available for help to those who are victims of this addiction and will make all possible efforts to help and rehabilitate those affected persons.
Moreover, comprehensive presentation, views & opinions on valuable insights on various facets of Drug-Addiction were put up to aware the students about the causes and consequences of this severe menace.
Police remains committed to eradicating drug abuse from our community and ensuring a safe and healthy environment for our youth. Through these educational initiatives, we aim to empower students with the knowledge and resources needed to resist drugs and lead fulfilling lives.
