SRINAGAR: Speaker, Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly Mr. Mubarak Gul has condoled the demise of Sheikh Nazir Ahmad, veteran leader of National Conference and former General Secretary of the party. In his condolence message, Gul described Sheikh Nazir as one of the leading political figures of the State who rendered tremendous contribution in the socio political history of the State, which would be remembered for ages to come.
The Speaker said Sheikh Nazir was a leader of masses who lived upto his ideals and did not compromise till his death. He said the deceased would be remembered for long for his selfless services to public life and did not accept any post or position which is reflective of his dedication and selflessness. Mr. Gul prayed for the eternal peace to the departed soul.
