BENGALURU: Hebbevu Fresh is a popular direct-to-consumer brand in India, co-founded by Mr. Amith Kishan G S & Mr. Ashrith Kishan G S (Kishan brothers) with a pure passion for agriculture. Today, the company is serving more than 3 lacs people across the country and scaling at a growth rate of 50 percent year on year.
Problem in view:
Hebbevu was started in the year 2019 with a vision of bringing a revolution in the Agro Reality Industry. We are the 1st in India to have both dairy farms and plantation farms together. We noticed a big gap in the door to door delivery of natural and organic produce at a budget friendly price and immediately thought of bridging the same.
Our focus was on bringing a multifold impact from the beginning, i.e, apart from scaling real estate for agricultural use, we also wanted to focus on D2C business so that the common people today who are buying agricultural produce know the source of the food they are consuming and likewise the owner of the land directly knows who is actually buying the produce they are growing. Our mission is to uplift the lifestyle of people in the agricultural sector.
This is why we launched Hebbevu Fresh and bridged the gap by creating a better ecosystem of delivering organically farmed produce and fresh dairy products to the consumers, whilst also making organic produce and desi A2 cow milk and ghee affordable.
Mr. Amith Kishan further added, “In the journey of doing pure natural farming we understood the need of Desi cows and that’s why we started with dairy in the first place. Initially we only had 6 desi cows but today it has grown into a herd of 600+ cows. We candidly call them #HumansOfHebbevu as they cater to the needs of the entire Bangalore city’s milk market. This herd has cows from various Indian Indigenous Breeds like Gir, Kankrej, Sahiwal and Rathi with over all production of 1200+ litres of milk everyday.”
Apart from this, our core strength lies in the fact that we are backed with an experienced team of Agri Managers and farmers who hold an overall experience of 30+ years in the field of agriculture. We are also extremely proud of the fact that for every kg of A2 Ghee produced at Hebbevu Fresh, 1 lady from the village directly gets an employment opportunity. This way we have helped a total of 3000+ women and this number is only escalating.
Building a global D2C brand: Hebbevu Fresh
Hebbevu Fresh was kickstarted in the month of February 2020, right before the entire world was hit by COVID 19. The idea was simple: to create a platform for the agricultural produce that was getting farmed in the expansive farms of Tamil Nadu. Luckily, Covid made people look after their health even more than before and this gave us the biggest boost to reach and cater to the people of Bengaluru door-to-door. As of date, Hebbevu fresh has catered to more than 3 lacs customers and has supported our vision to establish ourselves as a brand that defines ‘health’ for the entire country. We want to make sure that people know the source of the food they eat, all the way from the soil to their plate.
Way Forward
Hebbevu Fresh is determined to be a global leader and we clocked in a revenue of 11 crores for FY 21-22. We are expecting a revenue of 20+ crores in FY 22-23. Our goal is to reach the heights where we are clocking in a minimum of 50 crores revenue for FY 23-24. However, our larger goal in vision is to make India healthy, connect them to the ancient wisdom and the benefits that old age techniques bring along with them. Working on Indian soil, helping people from the interior of the country and celebrating the glorious produce is what fills our hearts with joy and compassion.
