UDHAMPUR: District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Udhampur, under the guidance and supervision of Virinder Singh Bhou, Principal District & Sessions Judge/ Chairman DLSA and Sumati Sharma, Sub-Judge/Secretary DLSA organized an awareness program at Government District Hospital Udhampur to commemorate World AIDS Prevention Day.
The resource persons for the program were Additional Special Mobile Magistrate Akashdeep and Panel Lawyer DLSA Advocate Sanjeet Kumar. The Secretary, DLSA Udhampur was also present, emphasizing the importance of the cause. The program aimed to educate hospital staff, patients and locals about AIDS, its causes, symptoms, treatment options and prevention strategies.
The resource persons delivered informative speeches, highlighting the importance of HIV testing, treatment adherence and reducing stigma around the disease. They also discussed the role of community support in helping individuals living with HIV/AIDS lead a healthy life. The doctors present also contributed to the discussion, providing expert perspectives on HIV/AIDS management and treatment.
Secretary DLSA Sumati Sharma also spoke on the topic, highlighting the importance of community support. The program raised awareness about AIDS and the importance of a supportive and non-judgmental approach towards people living with HIV/AIDS.
