BARAMULLA: In order to ensure the successful implementation of Mission Yuva Udhayami Vikas Abhiyan (YUVA) in the district, the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Baramulla, Minga Sherpa chaired a meeting today at the Dak Bungalow, here. On the occasion, the DC emphasized the objectives of the Mission YUVA, a government initiative aimed at fostering sustainable employment opportunities in J&K by supporting the creation of new micro-enterprises, expanding existing businesses and encouraging innovative entrepreneurial ventures.
He held an in-depth discussion with the officers on the mission's effective implementation which included strategies for providing necessary training, and fostering strong coordination and collaboration among departments and stakeholders. The DC directed all the line departments to focus on the key action points and understand their roles to ensure the mission's objectives are achieved effectively and efficiently.
Furthermore, Minga Sherpa urged the officers to prioritize efficient planning for conducting a comprehensive baseline survey of existing and potential entrepreneurs in the district. Later, the DC briefed the press about the Mission YUVA initiative which will commence from December 21, aimed at fostering sustainable employment and entrepreneurial opportunities for the youth of the J&K.
Meanwhile, a comprehensive training program was held for Master Trainers and Supervisors, appointed for the conduct of Baseline Enumeration/Survey to ensure there are no disruptions during the conduct of this extensive survey. Additional Deputy Commissioner Baramulla, Dr. Zahoor Ahmad Raina; ADC Sopore, Dr. Shabir Ahmad Raina; Chief Planning Officer and officers from other line departments were present in the meeting.
