- Directs Officers to identify impactful works for development under the scheme
KUPWARA: In order to review the implementation of Pradhan Mantri Jan Vikas Karyakram (PMJVK) scheme in the district, the Deputy Commissioner Kupwara, Ayushi Sudan Monday convened a meeting of concerned officers to discuss the preparations under the scheme. Pradhan Mantri Jan Vikas Karyakram scheme is a centrally sponsored scheme, launched by the Ministry of Minority Affairs which is aimed at infrastructure development in minority concentration areas.
The objectives of the scheme is to improve the socio-economic condition of the communities living in the areas through community infrastructure development support and provide basic amenities for improving quality of life of the people.
On the occasion, the DC enjoined upon the concerned officers to identify various impactful works in their departments which can be developed under the PMJVK scheme. She directed them to propose the construction of buildings for those Anganwadi Centres, Health Centres and Schools which are rented or in a dilapidated condition. She also asked for the development of sports infrastructure including Indoor Stadiums under the scheme which shall boost the sports sector in the district.
Ayushi impressed upon all the officers to ensure equal representation of every block of the district while proposing the works for development so that people in large numbers across the district are benefitted under the PMJVK scheme.
The meeting held a thorough discussion and explored different sectors which can be developed for the larger welfare of the general public. Skill Development and augmentation of Sub District Hospitals with state of the art equipment were also discussed during the meeting. The meeting was attended by Programme Officer ICDS Kupwara, District Social Welfare Officer, CMO, CPO, Dy. CEO, BDOs and other concerned officers.
