POONCH: An awareness camp on Applications Mobilization Campaigns was organised today here at Regional District Offices by the Fisheries Department Poonch to promote initiatives under Pradhan Mantri-Matasya Kisan Samridhi Sah âYojna (PM-MKSSY).
The central Sector Scheme launched by Government of India in 2023 -24 shall continue till 2026-27. The scheme aims at on the spot registration of fishers, fish farmers, fish vendors at NFDP portal, submission of application for aquaculture insurance, submission of loan request through NFDP, Availing performance grants for enhancing value chain efficiencies, availing incentives for Adoption & Expansion of Fish and Fish Product Safety & Quality Assurance Systems.
A large number of Fishers including fish farmers, Fishermen, vendors and Fisheries Cooperative Society Poonch participated in the camp and availed benefits of registration under NFDP and evinced keen interest in Aquaculture Insurance and other value chain projects.
Addressing the fishers, Fisheries Development Officer Bharat Bushan shared an overview of scheme, highlighting key initiatives such as registration on NFDP portal, submission of application for Aquaculture Insurance, availing performance grants for Value Chain and other components of the scheme and urged to avail benefits of the scheme. Further the Officer thanked the CSC operator for conducting the onspot registration of the Fishers. The camp was attended by Inspector Fisheries Poonch who also shared his valuable thoughts on the scheme and other ongoing Central and UT schemes.
