RAMBAN: Continuing its efforts to enhance governance accessibility for rural communities, the District Administration Ramban, under the guidance of Deputy Commissioner Baseer-Ul-Haq Chaudhary, organized multiple Governance Redressal Camps as part of the “Prashasan Gaon Ki Ore” campaign under the ongoing Good Governance Week 2024.
On the third day of the campaign, the Sub-Divisional Administration Ramsoo conducted a Governance Redressal Camps at the PWD Hut Ukhral. The event witnessed active participation from residents of Block Ukhral and Ramsoo. The initiative aimed to bring governance closer to the people by addressing public grievances directly and resolving them on the spot.
The program was led by SDM Ramsoo, Ganshyam Balsotra, accompanied by Tehsildar Nasir Javed, BDO Shahid Saleem besides officials from various departments resolved 43 grievances and issues on the spot. They interacted with the public, listened to their grievances, and ensured prompt redressal, reflecting the administration’s commitment to effective governance.
Key departments, including Rural Development and Panchayati Raj, Agriculture, Horticulture, Animal Husbandry, ICDS, Forest, Education, and Health and Family Welfare, actively participated in the camp. Dedicated awareness stalls were set up by these departments to inform the public about various government schemes and welfare initiatives. The stalls emphasized how citizens could benefit from these schemes and encouraged their active participation.
Participants lauded the District Administration’s efforts to deliver governance to their doorstep, expressing their satisfaction with the initiative's impact in resolving issues and promoting awareness. This proactive approach ensures that rural communities are directly connected to welfare programs, strengthening the bond between the administration and the public.
