JAMMU: Joint Action Committee of Reserved Categories under the aegis of Jammu &Kashmir Reserved Categories Empowerment Alliance, a frontal organization of SCSTOBCs in a heavily attended Press conference including members of various socio-religious groups, Ex-ULB members, Sarpanches, Panches, Social activist, retirees and youths severely criticized and condemned uncalled for remarks given by Home Minister of the country in Lok Sabha, quoting Babasaheb Dr. B.R. Ambedkar unceremoniously and disrespectfully. The leaders in unison demanded apology from Mr. Amit Shah without any delay or false justifications of his remarks.
They also warned that if remedy not taken by BJP under Mr. Modi, the situation may take different turns for which BJPRSS shall be responsible for any untoward outcomes. They reminded AmitShah-Modi and Co that Babasaheb Ambedkar is not only Father of Indian Constitution, First Law Minister of the Country, Bharat Ratan but also the ideologue and emancipator of Dalitbahujans and Women folk of this country and hence should be addressed with utmost respect and reverence. Followers of RSSBJP should not forget that followers of Babasaheb are much more in number, dedicated and thankful towards what Babasaheb has done for them, unlike the followers of any other ideology. Hence any disrespect towards him shall be viewed seriously by his followers and they shall go up to any extent to protect dignity and respect of Babasaheb.
Prof. G.L. Thapa (Working President, JKRCEA) while further castigating the home minister said that the ruling dispensation of country create divisive situations in the country from time to time probably to destabilize the system and cover up their wrong doings on financial, social, political, regional and religion fronts. SCSTOBCs of the country very well know that the founders of RSS-BJP had venomous thinking for Constitution and Babasaheb since pre-independence and they go on spitting it frequently and now they have got chance to change CoI and bring Manusmiriti in place. So, their utterance speaks volumes about the disrespect and hatred for Babasaheb. Ironically; Mr. Narinder Modi, Arjun Ram Megwal (SC) and even HM tried to put blames on opposition for defaming Babasaheb, purely in an attempt to cover up wrong utterances of Amit Shah &this is their modus operandi after committing blunders.
Mohinder Bhagat, (Working General Secretary. JKRCEA) while deliberating on the issue said that the issue could have been put to rest had Amit Shah accepted his mistake and tendered unconditional apology from SCSTOBCs of the country who are emotionally attached to Babasaheb and the CoI. But instead of doing this, the all-arrogant BJP and Amit Shah tried to cover up his wrong doing by blaming opposition and congress for disrespect of Babasaheb. HM must tender unconditional apology without delay to rest the arguments and to prevent any mishaps in this regard. He said that one hand BJP and its leaders try to bring unit amongst Hindus by sayingâBateynge toh Katenge Politicsâ and on the other hands their top leaders are hell bent upon killing constitution and not have started inflicting insult to Babasaheb paving way for trollers on Facebook and WhatsApp to inflict more disrespect to CoI and Babasaheb.
Sham Basson, (President Dalit chetna Munch & Ex Carporator)while further elaborating said that every section of society respects Babasaheb for his role in building Modern India and SCSTOBCs consider him as their God over and above Epic Gods and insult inflicted upon Babasaheb Ambedkar is intolerable and can take aggressive turns if Amit Shah do not tender unconditional apology. He appealed to SC MLAs of BJP as well as SCST MPs of BJP to condemn statement of Amit Shah openly and pressurize BJP leadership to ask him for tendering apology forthwith to avoid situation turning worst. The respect and popularity of Babasaheb can be gauzed from the criticism of Amit Shah from all walks of life including whole opposition and even Bollywood. He further stressed upon all Morcha leaders of BJP and BJP MLAs from Jammu viz Bharat Bushan, Mohan Lal, Dr. Manyal, Bhardwaj, Prof. Gharu Ram, Surinder Kumar, Dr. Rajeev as well as MP Khatana to condemn Amit Shah for his unrespectful words uttered for Babasaheb in Lok Sabha, otherwise SCSTOBCs of J&K shall be compelled to gherao them and teach them a good lesson for parroting the narratives of their political masters and forgetting role of Babasaheb in giving them respectful life.
In the end members unanimously resolved to take peaceful agitation to the grass root levels and on 21st Dec there shall be peaceful protest at SIDCO Chowk in Bari Brahnmana.
