Jamal also appreciated his commitment to advocating for a rational and fair reservation policy. “We firmly support the call for rationalizing the unjust reservation policy, which is crucial for ensuring social justice and equal opportunities for all. We stand united with everyone raising genuine concerns over this critical issue,” he stated. The Association has directed its representatives, including National President Umar Jamal and other office bearers, to actively participate in the protest.
Advisors of the Association, Danish Lone, Faizan Peer, and Davood Peer, along with other members, will also join the demonstration.“We urge the government to address the concerns raised by the people responsibly and to take immediate steps toward implementing a rational and inclusive reservation policy,” Jamal added. He also called on all stakeholders to join hands in this collective effort for justice and equity. The Association reaffirmed its commitment to fairness, inclusivity, and the rights of marginalized communities.
It stressed that a just reservation policy is essential for fostering equality and strengthening the social fabric of Jammu and Kashmir.Jamal further argued that continuing recruitment under the current policy could lead to injustice for open-merit students. “When a community is granted reservations beyond its socio-economic disadvantages, the very principle of reservation is compromised,” he noted.
