NEW DELHI: In a significant development, MLA Billawar, Satish Kumar Sharma, met with the Defence Minister, Rajnath Singh, and the Minister of State for Prime Minister's Office, Jitendra Singh, in Delhi. During the meeting, Sharma submitted a memorandum highlighting key developmental projects for his constituency.
Key Demands:
Widening of Dhar-Udhampur Road: Satish Sharma emphasized the strategic importance and growing traffic on this 133 km stretch, seeking its widening to facilitate smooth connectivity. Upgradation of Sub-District Hospital Billawar: He demanded better healthcare facilities for his constituents, seeking upgradation of the existing hospital.
Establishment of Primary Health Centre at Katli: A new primary health centre was sought to cater to the medical needs of the local population.
Trauma Centre at Ramkot: Sharma requested the establishment of a trauma centre to provide timely medical assistance in emergency situations.
Sports Stadiums at Phinter and Ramkot: Two sports stadiums were sought to promote sports and youth development in the region.
Both the Defence Minister and the MoS PMO gave a patient hearing to Sharma's demands and assured that all matters have been forwarded to the concerned authorities for appropriate action. This development is expected to bring significant benefits to the people of Billawar constituency.
