RAMBAN: As part of the ongoing 100-day awareness campaign under the Nasha Mukt Jammu & Kashmir Abhiyan, the Sub-Divisional Administration Gool, under the leadership of Sub-Divisional Magistrate  Gool Imtiaz, today organised a mega Pad Yatra from the SDM Office Gool to the CHC Gool. The initiative aimed to generate awareness about the harmful effects of drug abuse and promote the vision of a drug-free society.

The awareness rally witnessed enthusiastic participation from officers and officials of various line departments, school students, teachers, ICDS functionaries, ASHA workers, health staff, shopkeepers, members of civil society and locals. Participants carried placards bearing anti-drug messages and raised slogans emphasizing the importance of staying away from substance abuse and adopting a healthy, disciplined lifestyle.

The Pad Yatra passed through the main market areas of Gool, including the bus stand and the stretch near the Higher Secondary School, drawing public attention and encouraging community participation in the fight against drug addiction. The active involvement of students and youth sent a strong message of collective resolve to eradicate the drug menace from the sub-division.

The administration reiterated its commitment to continue such awareness drives across panchayats and educational institutions during the 100-day campaign and appealed to the public to cooperate with law enforcement agencies and report any drug-related activity to the nearest police station or helpline number.
