KATRA: Dr. Pankaj Biswas, Assistant Professor in the School of Physics, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (SMVDU), was invited as a speaker at PHYCON-26: The National Physics Conference, organized at IIT Ropar.
During the conference, Dr. Biswas delivered an invited lecture titled “Next-Generation Vanadate Phosphors for Photonic, Sensing and Imaging Applications.” His presentation highlighted recent developments in rare-earth-doped vanadate phosphors and their potential applications in advanced photonic devices, optical sensing technologies, and bio-imaging systems.
The talk attracted significant attention from researchers, faculty members, and students from leading academic and research institutions across the country. Dr. Biswas discussed the synthesis, characterization, and luminescence properties of novel phosphor materials being developed for next-generation optical applications.
Dr. Biswas is actively involved in advanced materials research and serves as the Co-Principal Investigator of the ANRF PAIR Project (ANRF/PAIR/2025/000006/PAIR). His invitation to deliver a talk at this prestigious national conference reflects the growing recognition of research being conducted at SMVDU in the field of luminescent and functional materials. The university congratulates Dr. Biswas on this academic achievement and wishes him continued success in his research endeavors.
