KATHUA: Joint Director Employment, Jammu Division Paramjeet Singh visited the District Employment & Counselling Centre (DECC) Kathua and chaired a review meeting to assess the progress and implementation of Mission YUVA in the district.
The meeting was attended by Assistant Director Employment, Piyusha Khajuria; Cluster Head; representatives of J&K Bank; District Programme Manager, NRLM and other officials associated with the implementation of Mission YUVA.
During the meeting, a detailed review of the district's performance under Mission YUVA was conducted. The Joint Director examined various key performance indicators and discussed measures to address areas requiring further improvement.
Emphasizing the need for coordinated efforts among all stakeholders, he called for expeditious processing of applications and effective implementation of programme components to ensure achievement of the objectives envisaged under Mission YUVA.
The Joint Director directed the concerned officers to intensify their efforts towards achieving the targets fixed for the current financial year within the prescribed timelines. He also stressed the need for timely disposal of cases at the bank level and improvement in sanction rates to facilitate greater self-employment opportunities for aspiring entrepreneurs and youth.
He further urged all stakeholder departments and institutions to maintain close coordination and regular follow-up for ensuring better outcomes under the programme and promoting sustainable livelihood opportunities among the youth of the district.
