AWANTIPORA: As part of the ongoing Nasha Mukt Jammu & Kashmir Abhiyaan, a Wild Bhang Destruction Drive was carried out at Chersoo to curb the illegal cultivation and growth of narcotic plants.
The drive was conducted with the objective of eliminating naturally grown cannabis plants and preventing their misuse for illicit drug-related activities. Local stakeholders were also sensitized about the harmful effects of drug abuse and the importance of community participation in creating a drug free society.
Police reiterated their commitment to continue such preventive and enforcement measures across the district and appealed to the public to cooperate in the fight against drug abuse by sharing information regarding the cultivation, sale, or consumption of narcotic substances.
