JAMMU: People from the areas of Jammu & Kashmir, presently under illegal occupation of Pakistan will be given due representation in every sphere, stressed Dr. Narinder Singh, J&K BJP Vice-President when he was called upon by a representation of PoJK refugees.
Suchawant Singh, Jagjit Singh, Gurdev Singh, members of MJR, members of Samarth Action Committee, Captain Yudhvir Singh and others called upon Dr. Narinder Singh to press upon their demands.
The representation demanded that as the Delimitation process in J&K is all set to take place in some time now, due and justified representation must be given to the persons who were denied of their fair human rights for decades now.
Representation said that as the One-third of the total population had to take refuge in various parts of Nation, at that awful time. It seems pretty justifiable to give them representation of at least 8 seats out of total 24 seats presently earmarked for the PoJK area.
PoJK representation also pressed for allocation of 1 Lok Sabha and/or 1 Rajya Sabha seat for the PoJK area to give proper representation to the people from PoJK. They disclosed that there are more than 31,619 registered and 9,500 unregistered families of PoJK residents presently residing in various parts of the Nation. Voice of such people must be given due platform, they said.
Representation accredited various steps taken by Modi government for giving due recognition to the issues of community members which were pending since decades and stressed that the decisive steps by Modi government have given strength to the lakhs of people that their further demands will also be taken with full empathy and support.
Representation also praised Union Government under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi for taking concrete measures to restrict the spread of Covid 19 infection. They said that they fully endorse the policies of Union Government and extended their full support to the measures taken by the government and administration to curb the menace of Covid 19 Virus infection.
