NEW DELHI: The Additional Resident Commissioner of Jammu and Kashmir Ms. Yasha Mudgal unfurled the National Flag at J&K House,5 Prithvi Raj Road here on the occasion of 73rd Independence Day celebrations. A Contingent of J&K Armed Police presented the Guard of Honour on the Occasion. The ceremonial function was attended by all the Officers and officials of Jammu and Kashmir posted at New Delhi. Subsequently, the children also presented the Colorful Programme.
Congratulating the participants on this auspicious occasion, Additional Resident Commissioner said that this is the event to remember the martyrs and freedom fighters who sacrificed their lives for the nation and due to which we are enjoying the fruits of freedom. She also stressed upon to maintain the unity and integrity in diversity of our Country. Later, Additional Resident Commissioner interacted with the Officers / officials of the house and gave away special gifts and commendation certificates to all the participants.
