SRINAGAR: National Conference leader Omar Abdullah and newly-joined BJP leader and former cricketer Guatam Gambhir engaged in a heated discussion on Twitter on Tuesday over the former J&K CM's call for a 'separate Prime Minister' for the state of Jammu and Kashmir. However, their social media verbal spat caught the attention of BJP spokesperson Nupur Sharma who jumped to defend her party colleague Gautam Gambhir and tweeted to ask the NC leader to stick to the stuff he knows - 'being a hotel receptionist'.
"Spare Kashmir the agony. Stick to the stuff you know about - being a hotel receptionist", BJP's Nupur Sharma tweeted on Wednesday. Posting a screen grab of her tweet on Wedneday, Omar Abdullah called out the hypocrisy of the BJP spokesperson, saying that he's 'proud of how he started'. Slamming BJP's Nupur Sharma over her arrogance, Omar Abdullah also reminded of her of their leader's humble origins that they brag about.
Omar Abdullah wrote on twitter “The arrogance of these people. Their leader’s humble origins are bragged about. My small start is something I’m supposed to be ashamed of. There is dignity in any honest job & I’m proud of how I started”.
