JAMMU: Minister of State for Education, Information, and Culture Priya Sethi inaugurated three-day Solo Art Photo Exhibition “Mitti-de-Rang” by Satish Chalotra at Kala Kendra here today. Commissioner Jammu Municipal Corporation Soujanya Sharma was also present on the occasion. Mrs. Priya Sethi went round the photo exhibition and showed keen interest in wide range of the pictures.
Speaking on the occasion the Minister exhorted on holistic approach by the concerned departments to preserve the rich culture of the state.. She said the state is bestowed with immense natural beauty and an array of diverse cultures which needs to be promoted. Appreciating the photographs by Chalotra ,the Minister said that he has been able to capture the true essence of nature and photographs are a portrayal of the different aspects of our civilisation and culture. She stressed on efforts to highlight the cultural diversity of all the three regions of the state.
Speaking on the occasion, Commissioner JMC stressed for organizing such events on regular intervals to showcase the unique cultural ethos of the state and work of reputed photographers of the state. He lauded Chalotra for the excellent photographs captured by him. The photographs will be on display for general public from 25th to 27th of March at Kala Kendra from 11 am to 5 pm.
