• Youth pin hopes with Apni Party, seek employment opportunities

VIJAYPUR: Apni Party Provincial President, Jammu, and Former Minister, S. Manjit Singh today accused the Govt of its failure to provide employment to the unemployed youth in Jammu and Kashmir. As per a press release, the Former Minister chaired a meeting with the youth at Vijaypur to discuss the burning issues being faced by the young generation.

District President, Legal Cell, Samba, Adv Sahil Bharti, District President Youth Wing, Samba, Mangat Ram, and others were present in the meeting. During the deliberation, the youth expressed their resentment towards the Govt for its inability to provide ample job opportunities to them within Jammu and Kashmir that were available in the past.

“The youth extended its support to the BJP because they thought it would fulfill the promise of providing jobs and create employment opportunities in the private sector with vast industrialization and Multi - National Companies,” said S. Manjit Singh. He said that the Govt disappointed the youth with the false slogans, and assurances that they could not fulfill and hence, the unemployment reached its peak in Jammu and Kashmir in a record manner.

He said that the Govt sector was the major organization that would provide employment to the youth in Jammu and Kashmir because the erstwhile state faced multiple challenges being a border state with the enemy country Pakistan. “The youth have faced difficult times and hence, they should be provided special employment packages in Govt sector, paramilitary, J&K Police and Indian Army to meet the challenge,” he stated.

He further stated that the situation has compelled the unemployed youth to raise their voice and express their dissatisfaction with the Govt that has failed to fulfill its promises. “The youth are deeply involved with the present situation. Many have crossed their maximum age limit to apply for a Govt job. Therefore, the resentment is growing, and it has alienated the unemployed youth from the Govt,” he added.

In this situation, he said that the Apni Party has emerged as a hope for unemployed youth, who have extended their support to the party. “I assure you that if the Apni Party forms the next Govt in Jammu and Kashmir, a policy would be framed to address the growing unemployment,” assured the Former Minister, while listing the problems of the unemployed youth.

He said that the youth are frustrated because their personal life has been badly hit with no employment, little scope to settle in life with minimum source of income amid the spike of essential commodities, and marriages are happening at a later age that has impacted their life in general. He said that the issues of the educated unemployed youth have increased manifolds, and the present Govt has completely failed to address these issues.
