BANDIPORA: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Bandipora, Manzoor Ahmad Qadri on Thursday handed over a critical care ambulance to the Health Department for the Gurez sub-division, enhancing healthcare access in the area. Speaking on the occasion, the DC said that the ambulance was procured through funds provided by NHPC under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, reflecting the organization’s commitment to community welfare. 

He said, this ambulance will play a crucial role in saving lives and ensuring that residents of Gurez have more access to essential medical services which is vital for improving healthcare infrastructure in remote areas. Qadri said that this initiative is expected to greatly benefit the residents of Gurez, ensuring timely medical assistance and enhancing overall healthcare delivery in the area. The handover ceremony was attended by HoP NHPC Bandipora, Lakhmi Chand; CMO Bandipora, Rafi Ahmad Salathi along with other officials and stakeholders.
