SRINAGAR: The National Stock Exchange of India (NSE) & Security and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) Tuesday organised an ‘Investor Awareness Programme here at Meeting Hall of the DC Office Complex.

Deputy Commissioner (DC) Srinagar, Dr Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat was the Chief Guest on the occasion. The event featured addresses by Gyanendra Niraj (DGM, SEBI); Joginder Singh (VP, NSE) and Ankit Sharma (CRO, NSE).

The speakers in their address focused on empowering investors with knowledge about market dynamics, investment opportunities, and regulatory safeguards designed to protect their interests.

They laid bare the trajectory of how one should shift from the personal savings to investments in order to create wealth and fetch maximum benefits under long term plans. They also talked about the money misunderstanding and urged the audience to make informed decisions before investing.

The program aimed to educate employees of Deputy Commissioners Office about the importance of prudent financial planning and the benefits of a transparent and well-regulated market. Among others, the event was attended by senior officials of DC Office Srinagar. The program was coordinated by M Izhar (DM), NSE.
