SAMBA: To mark the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, an awareness van on leprosy was flagged off by Deputy Commissioner Samba, Rajesh Sharma, along with Senior Superintendent of Police, Vinay Sharma, and Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Vidhi Bhattial, at the DC Office Complex, Nandani Hills, Samba.

The event paid tribute to Mahatma Gandhi’s contributions towards eradicating leprosy. The awareness van, which will cover the entire Samba town, is equipped to disseminate crucial information about the causes, symptoms, treatment, transmission, and preventive measures related to leprosy through audio messages and jingles.  Dy CMO, BMOs, CHOs, PMA, and other medical and paramedical staff, were present to support the campaign.
