SRINAGAR: Kidney Transplant Unit, Sher-I-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences is organizing "Organ Donation Day" on Saturday the 3rd of August. Noted legal, religious and social personalities invited to speak on this occasion include Retired Justice Bashir A Kirmani, Maulana Mufti Nazir A Qasmi, Aga Syed Mudasir Hasan Rizvi , Mr Navtej Singh, Mr Satish Vimal and Dr Mushtaq A Rather.
The program is intended to raise awareness amongst the masses to understand and pledge for organ donation in their lifetime. This day has been declared by NOTTO as the organ donation day and various programs are intended throughout the country to raise awareness about organ donation. Under the patronage of Director SKIMS Dr Mohd Ashraf Ganie the kidney transplant unit is organizing this program.
