BANDIPORA:  HKM Degree College Bandipora today launched the Swachhta Pakhwada and Plantation Campaign with the objective of fostering a cleaner and healthier India through tree planting, aiming to embed this practice into our cultural ethos.

The initiative was inaugurated by the  Principal, Prof. (Dr.) Tariq Hussain Bhat. The launch event comprised two main activities including  a Swachhta Pledge Ceremony where both staff and students pledged their commitment to cleanliness and  tree plantation drive under the slogan "Ek ped Shaheedon ke naam, Ek ped Maa ke naam."

The Principal Prof. Tariq Hussain Bhat led the plantation drive  by planting a tree, encouraging others to participate wholeheartedly. The event garnered enthusiastic participation from students, NSS volunteers, as well as teaching and non-teaching staff, underscoring its success.

The meticulous organisation and dedication of NSS Programme Officers Prof. Irshad Ahmad Bhat and Professor Bilquees Rasool were instrumental in the smooth execution of the campaign launch and  promoting environmental awareness and community engagement in the pursuit of a cleaner and greener nation.
