SRINAGAR: Acting tough against the persons involved in illegal extraction and transportation of minerals, Police have seized 02 vehicles in Shopian. A Police Party of Police Post Hermain seized 02 vehicles (Tippers) bearing registration numbers JK22A-6910 & JK22B-2202, involved in illegal extraction and transportation of minerals. Both the vehicles were handed over to the officials of Geological and Mining department for necessary legal action.

Persons found indulging in illegal mining activities shall be dealt as per law. Community members are appealed to share information regarding the crimes in their neighbourhood with their concerned police units.
