UDHAMPUR: To enhance the green cover and counter the climate change in the district, the Forest Division Udhampur conducted a plantation drive in collaboration with the Air Force Station. Deputy Commissioner Saloni Rai, Divisional Forest Officer Navneet Singh, Group Captain and Air Force Station Commander L.S. Laran, along with other officers and officials from both the Forest Department and the Air Force, participated in the drive. They planted a variety of plants.

Highlighting the importance of forests, the Deputy Commissioner urged participants to plant more trees to maintain the balance in nature. She noted that trees and forests are closely linked to weather patterns and play a crucial role in maintaining the natural balance. Therefore, the task of environmental protection is a universal responsibility for all of us, she emphasized.
