SRINAGAR: To boost Pahari literary and cultural activities in Valley, 2-day Pahari Literary and Cultural Programmes was organized in Auditorium Hall of J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages, Srinagar here today. The programme was inaugurated by the Joint Director Information Kashmir, Mr. Shafqat Iqbal. On this occasion, Mr. Shafqat Iqbal said that the Department of Information and Cultural Academy are jointly promoting the literary and cultural activities and stressed to organize such programmes in future also. The prominent Artists of Pahari Community presented cultural programmes which enthralled the audience. The function was also attended by prominent Pahari Literary personalities including Rashid Ahmad Masoodi, Maqbool Sahib, Chief Editor (Urdu) Academy of Art, Mohammad Ashraf Tak, Incharge Editor-Cum-Cultural Officer, Pahari Language, Mohammad Ayoub Mir and large number of Pahari speaking people. In this context, the Mehfil-i-Afsana would be held on April 07, 2015.
