JAMMU: J&K BJP All Cells Incharge Ved Sharma inaugurated the second round of an ongoing cricket tournament at M.A.M Stadium, Jammu. The tournament is being jointly organized by Dogra Sports Club and Ridhima Sports Club with the objective of promoting sportsmanship, healthy competition, and youth engagement through sports activities.
The tournament has witnessed participation from local cricket teams, with a total of 12 innings scheduled to be played. The first round comprising six matches has already been successfully completed, while the second round commenced today amidst great enthusiasm among players and spectators.
Prominent personalities present on the occasion included Charanjeet Singh Raina, Director, Citizen Cooperative Bank, H.S. Pummy, Prabhari Minority Morcha, BJP J&K, and Amit Manhas, Convenor, Legal Cell, BJP J&K. Ajay Sharma, Executive Member of the Sports Cell, coordinated and conducted the proceedings of the event.
Ved Sharma, speaking on the occasion, emphasized the importance of sports in shaping the character and discipline of youth. He said that sporting activities provide a positive platform for young talent and help channel their energy towards constructive pursuits. He appreciated the efforts of the organizers for providing opportunities to budding cricketers and encouraging a spirit of teamwork and healthy competition.
