- ADC calls for seamless and hassle-free verification of pilgrims
KATHUA: Additional Deputy Commissioner Kathua Mahima Madan today presided over a training programme organised for the smooth conduct of e-KYC of pilgrims undertaking the Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra-2026, held at the Conference Hall of the Deputy Commissioner's Office, Kathua.
District Informatics Officer Kathua Shubham Singh imparted the training, sensitising the participants about the e-KYC process, operational procedures and technical aspects involved in the verification of pilgrims. He also conducted detailed demonstrations to ensure efficient and seamless implementation of the e-KYC mechanism during the Yatra period.
Speaking on the occasion, the ADC emphasised the importance of timely and hassle-free verification of pilgrims and called upon all officials concerned to familiarise themselves thoroughly with the e-KYC procedures. She stressed the need for coordinated efforts to ensure the smooth conduct of the pilgrimage and prompt delivery of services to devotees.
The participants were also guided on best practices for digital verification, data management and grievance redressal to facilitate a streamlined e-KYC process and RFID card allocation.
The training concluded with an interactive session during which the resource person addressed queries raised by the participants, enhancing their preparedness for effective implementation of e-KYC services during the Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra-2026. Pertinently, the District Administration Kathua will establish dedicated counters at the Lakhanpur Yatri Facilitation Centre for the smooth e-KYC of Amarnath Yatris.
