RAMBAN: Additional Deputy Commissioner Ramban Varunjeet Singh Charak today visited Senabhati and Ukhral to review the arrangements for the smooth conduct of the annual Mata Shri Chamunda Devi Sharwadhar Yatra.
During the visit, the ADC interacted with locals and representatives of the yatra management committees at Senabhati and took stock of the facilities required for the convenience of the devotees. He discussed issues faced by pilgrims during previous yatras and sought suggestions from the locals for ensuring better management of the religious event.
Emphasising the significance of the annual pilgrimage, he directed all line departments to work in close coordination with the administration and extend full cooperation for the successful and hassle-free conduct of the yatra.
Assuring the public of every possible support from the district administration, the ADC stated that all necessary measures would be taken to facilitate the pilgrims and ensure their safety and comfort throughout the yatra period.
To strengthen on-ground coordination, he directed Tehsildar Ukhral to depute Naib Tehsildar Neel to oversee and coordinate all administrative matters related to the yatra. He instructed the officer to maintain close liaison with the departments concerned and ensure prompt redressal of any issues arising during the pilgrimage.
The local residents appreciated the proactive approach of the district administration led by Deputy Commissioner Ramban Mohammed Alyas Khan and assured full cooperation in making the annual yatra a successful and spiritually enriching event for the devotees.
